Freight Forwarder Services

A freight forwarder is better known as a third party logistics provider. As a third party which is also a non asset based provider usually dispatches shipments via asset-based carriers and books. The third party forwarder is also responsible for arranging space for those shipments as well. Carrier type shipments mainly include waterborne vessels, airplanes, trucks or railroads.

The main work of freight forwarder is to typically arrange cargo movement to an international destination. Being referred to as international freight forwarders, these people are known to possess the expertise that allows them to prepare and process the documentation and perform related activities pertaining to international shipments. In addition, these experts do review some of the typical information such as the commercial invoice, shipper's export declaration, bill of lading and other documents that are required by the carrier or country of export, import, or transshipment. Nowadays, much of the mentioned information is now processed in a paperless environment.
